Thought I would share with you all a cute little project I made yesterday. Using my left overs from the layout I created the other day I quickly assembled this project. However I did have to cut a few petals out from the SVG file "Elegant Florals" from Scraptastical Kreations to create the lovely flower.
She has a couple of different collections of cut files that she has created for flowers. Be sure to check her out on facebook too!
Here is how I assembled my flower:
First you will need to cut out 3 large petals measuring 3" and one small petal that measures 2.5"
Then you will need to spray them with glimmer mist ( I used Tattered Angels "Rouge")
After you spray the petals, use your heat gun to dry them. When you are drying the petals, right before they get stiff take your fingers and create an accordion fold on each petal.
Once they are dry you will want to slightly pull on the edges of each petal to open the fold up a bit. Then take a skewer and curl your petals under on each set of flowers.
They should look like this after you are finished.
I use the Tulip Puffy Paint to create a snow like texture no each petal. A small line goes a long way. Please don't put too much on the petals or you will have a mountain of snow..LOL
After you are finished putting the puffy paint on, you will want to heat up the paint with a heat gun. This will cause the paint to "puff" up.
After every thing is dried you will assemble the petals by laying each one inside of the other. Start with your larger petals and don't forget to alternate them so they will not lay on top of one another.
Then embellish the middle with stamens, buttons, bling or a button.
Hope you enjoyed this super easy flower tutorial!
