12x12 Layout - Treasured Garden

WOW! Let me just say it has been a very busy 4 months. Some ups and downs but I'm sooooo... ready for the new year! I think the hardest part of walking your path in life is that some times you can't see where that path is taking you and you doubt yourself. I think that is some thing that many of us struggle with. We try to plan how the path will go and we start doubting it once our plans are adjusted or caught off course. Some times that best thing to do is sit and be still. Let yourself have a chance to see where the path wants to take you instead of where you want the path to lead. It's a very hard thing to do. This is the hardest thing I struggle with. I want to see the end result before I walk down the path and I have learn you miss A LOT when you have your blinders on. Some times you get caught up on trying to figure it all out, that you miss a lot of what is going on around you.  When that happens you need to pull into a pit stop. If you can't get your head back into the game your pit stop may be the one thing that keeps you from going after your dream.

While I was at my recent pit stop I decide to just sit down and create a page. I can't remember the last time I created a 12x12 layout. Maybe the summer??

I kept the layout simple until I started creating my garden of flowers.
The angle of the photo is horrible but its been really wet outside and trying to catch some sun was working against me today. Couldn't lay on the wet ground to capture this one..LOL

I love adding all kinds of trinkets into my garden of flowers. It's fun to hide and seek elements, specially when you are working with sprays of flowers. It's almost like a game of "Where's Waldo"!
Lets play for a moment shall we?
Can you find these things?

- 7 Buttons
-Butterfly
-Feather
-5 Metal Leaves
-Decorative Rose Button

I hope to have some more time after the new year to work on some fab projects and showcase them here on my blog. I haven't been using it very often. I just need to get back into the swing of things again :)

I have been working on some thing in between all the hustle and bustle.
We have added a new and improved classroom on my website.
We have not opened the doors for visitors just yet BUT I am holding a VIP class in Feb 2013. This will be the opening of the first classroom. We hope by March 2013 to have the creative commons where you can see the different classrooms you might want to join open and ready for registration. That is still a work in progress but the VIP class is going to be an awesome flower class. You can read more about it on my "How-To Classes" page.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful TGIF!
Check back tomorrow and see what I will be giving away!
Until then...

Hugs,
Anna

A Classic Romance

I just love Etsy! It's not only where you can find my beautiful handmade paper flowers but much more treasures that have been handmade by others too! I love creating treasuries on Etsy. It's something I love to do when I'm at work, waiting for the phone to ring.

Here is a treasury that I created called: A Classic Romance
I love vintage and love to see people use it in their weddings.

My beautiful Elizabeth Roses that are created in the cream with the brown v\centers are perfect for your vintage wedding scene.

Here are a few of the items I included in my treasury on Etsy:

These lovely place cards can be found at ParchmentPosies
They have such a wonderful vintage feel to them and I love the flower print on the cards.

Burlap! Love it for a vintage wedding. When I saw these invitations that had been printed on burlap, I had to feature them on my treasury. These can be found at HelloLoveBoutique

How cute are these! Love the details on these cookies. Not only great for wedding treats but also great for birthdays and other events! these are also great to add to gift baskets for the holidays too. These wonderful cookies can be found at SugarMeDesserterie

Please visit my treasury HERE to see more great items! Some items are sold out and have been removed due to inventory. So, hurry and visit it while the items last.

Hope everyone has a fab week!
See you back here tomorrow with some more great finds and beautiful flowers!

Ustream Show "Girls Night"

I usually do "Girl's Night" Ustream shows on the Saturday nights that I don't have scheduled shows. I like these shows the best. We always have a lot of fun chatting and letting them pick what I create :) or show them! Well, this night I had to show off the mini hat box templates on "Ooh-la-la Vintage Treasures" blog, because I made some thing other than a box! I made a top hat from the template. I was so excited and like the girls saw that night I had rush through putting it together and it looked all junked up with glue. I did however show them how we can hide our mistakes..lol :)
I covered the outside with the wallpaper pieces that you can find in their store too!

I made this hat from the template pieces
1 - Large Bottom
1 - Small Top
1 - Strip double measured width of the small bottom band

I was very easy to put together!
You can find the template here:

MPTS August DT Challenge

Will you take a walk with me in Paris? Come by our challenge blog, More Paper Than Shoes and take the challenge to walk through Paris and create something beautiful! I did..and I loved every minute of it. I really wasn't sure what this was going to look like when I started it. When I was creating the tag I never had a vision of how I wanted it to look. I just kind of let my imagination take over and let me hands create! This tag is what I created. I love vintage and everything about it! This challenge allowed me to day dream of a place where I saw a couple holding hands and looking at all the vintage shops along the cobblestone road. They were looking for that special place to remember and to hold on to what they felt when they were there. As they look back onto that memory they will think to themselves "we'll always have Paris"!

My first corset tag

I'm so excited to share my first corset tag with you all. I had some free time today and played around in my scrap room. I really didn't think it was going to turn out like this when I started it. I love vintage stuff and love working with it. My next corset that I'm making will be black and hot pink with feathers. I really think it's going to turn out HOT! LOL

My First Mini

I have been wanting to make one of these for a long time and never made time to do it. I used a chipboard album from Michaels that I got out of their $1 section. I used a antique decoupage on the album to glue down the paper. It ages as it dries. I was really excited to make the flower on the front cover. Since I had not done one of these before I just took it one page at a time...LOL. I have one more page to finish and then I will take pictures of the inside pages to show you. I also have to add ribbon and fibers to the metal rings that are holding the album together. That's going to be the fun part!!

Mini Christmas Cards For Family

These are a little smaller than the 6x6 card I made. I really enjoy working with the vintage images.

Bulter Family Christmas Card

I love vintage and love making people vintage cards and other items too! This card measures 6x6. The stamp I used on this outside of the card only cost me $1.00 at the craft store. I'm really glad how my card turned out. This is my first 6x6 card that I have ever made.
